Brief Description
In 2003, The National Observatory on Violence Against Women under the Women's Council in Denmark initiated the establishment of a database regarding Violence Against Women in Denmark. The National Institute of Public Health carried out the project, and this report is among the results. The Department of Gender Equality has financed the project and participated in the compilation of the report. The report is structured around the EU indicators regarding violence against women. It includes a broad description of the data sources applied in the detailed assessment of violence against women in Denmark. The data in the report is gathered from numerous sources, presented in the report and available in the database.
